Having worked in London for (too) many years, and watched many episodes of Escape to the Country and River Cottage, we finally did escape in the summer of 2011.  As regular visitors to the local area over the years to surf, cycle and walk we decided North Devon was the place we wanted to be.  On our first visit to Coombe Farm we knew instantly this was the place we would like to pursue our passion for good food and food provenance, a place where we could grow our own produce, rear our own animals and most importantly, start a free-range family of our own.

When we first moved to Devon, we were both active Ironman triathletes and found North Devon a perfect training ground. Over time, our commitment to Coombe Farm has seen us retire from competition, but we remain keenly active cyclists, walkers and, when time permits, beach-goers and surfers.  We can provide detailed advice (and OS Maps) of walking and cycling routes and have plenty of lock-up storage for people interested in active pursuits.
